Sierra Club Southwest Michigan Group 2017 Executive Committee Election

Each fall, Sierra Club Southwest Michigan Group holds an Executive Committee election. Our Nominating Committee is compiling a list of candidates from which it will choose at least seven nominees to fill five expiring terms on our nine-member Committee.

All SWMG members are eligible for nomination and eligible to suggest nominees. Use the contact form at the bottom of this page to send the Nominating Committee your own name or the names of fellow members who would be good additions to our Executive Committee. (Note: The deadline has passed for you to submit candidates to the Nominating Committee and to submit nominees by petition. The form has been removed.)

You can also bypass the Nominating Committee and nominate someone yourself, by petition. Nominees, supporters, and petition submitters must hold up-to-date Sierra Club memberships in the SWMG area. You may submit your petition one of two ways.

  • Use the contact form at the bottom of this page to submit the name of your nominee and the names of three supporters. Your petition will go directly to the Election Committee. After verification, the Election Committee will put your nominee on the ballot.
  • Or mail us a nominating petition with the name of your nominee and the names of the three petition signers. For verification purposes, your petition must include the member numbers or email addresses of the nominee and the petition signers. Mail your petition to:
